With a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Akron and 7 years of lab experience, Matt Williams has joined Miller Plating with a focus on Quality and Lab management. Matt spent 2 years working in an R&D lab researching and developing zinc coating systems. During this time, he got to work with technicians, sales reps, and manufacturing on trialing and testing products to meet customer needs. This afforded him experience managing multiple people with different skillsets across an entire organization. Additionally, he has worked as an internal auditor for his previous employers. He was able to identify areas of improvement in their processes and he helped develop steps to improve those processes. After that he got experience working in certification labs generating data with a focus on quality and accuracy for analytical work. 

All of this has helped prepare him for the work being done at Miller Plating as we continue to grow and improve our process for the future. Matt has a focus on improving the consistency and quality of the plating work we do here at Miller. He’s also working to maintain the effective functioning of wastewater treatment to ensure that we put out clean water to the community.

In his free time, Matt enjoys weightlifting, playing guitar, reading, video games, fishing, and going to concerts.
